Waingunga Cub Pack Adventures 23′
This Summer our intrepid Cubs ventured out into the New Forest for what turned out to be a blustery weekend of exploring, navigating, sneaking, climbing, performing and generally having a blast! The Cubs always enjoy two things the most … sleeping in their tents/dorms together (depending on their age) … and the food! Neither disappointed, although these two highlights were run close by some really enjoyable time bicycling around the new forest and getting our camouflage suits on to sneak through the undergrowth to complete secret missions!
Summer term is always great fun as we can get out and about pretty much every week. This term we let the Cubs try their hand at Bushcraft and Backwoods cooking, Navigating their way around the village, going on some cross-country hikes, Kayaking in Mytchett, an extra special visit to the Fire station where we got to see Bluewatch get ‘called out’ live in front of us, and finished with a game of rounders with our fellow Cubs from Monday night plus a much-deserved BBQ. Lots and lots of fun was had by all.
