WW1 trench

The 11th minute of the 11th hour of the 11th November 2018 marks 100 years since the end of WW1, when a treaty was signed on Armistice Day. 1st Lightwater Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers are learning what it was like by digging a replica World War 1 trench at our HQ. We started in June 2018 and finished in time for Remembrance Day, opening the gates to all the community on Sunday 11th November 3-6pm. Its a tough dig! But that helps us remember what our soldiers went through and leads us to discuss the importance of remembering all wars.
