CUBJAM 2019
7 lucky Cubs from Seeonee pack traveled to Phasels Wood in Late May 2019 to spend 6 nights (yes 6!) at the tri-annual CUBJAM.
This is a huge event spread over many acres of woodland which included a whole range of activities, and an offsite trip to a ThemePark. The cubs could choose what they wanted to take part in each day and they were spoilt for choice for example: Abseiling, Caving, 3G gyroscope, archery, zorbing, low ropes, high ropes, pedal racers, shooting and a load more.
The Cubs also learned how to look after themselves for a week away from home, learnt how to get along with their tent mates and wider group (there were 34 Cubs in the SurreyHeath Camp) and took in a wide range of cultures as part of the CubJam theme of ‘Around the World’.
Overall, everyone had an amazing time, and went home smiling, tired and proud. Great Scouting!
